This website belongs to Jennifer Tumbrello, a licensed California insurance agent (License #4277259) and a member of Steele Insurance Agency, Inc. The guides, the insurance glossary and the blog exist to explain insurance in plain English to people in Orange County, California. This page explains how that content is produced and checked, so you can judge how far to rely on it.
Who reviews the content
Every guide, glossary entry and article is reviewed by Jennifer Tumbrello before it is published, and each guide shows who reviewed it and when. Drafts may be prepared with help (including writing and research tools), but nothing goes live until she has read it and agrees it is accurate and useful for her clients. Blog posts are approved one by one before they appear on the site.
How facts are checked
- Primary sources first. Rules, deadlines and program details are checked against the people who set them: the California Department of Insurance (insurance.ca.gov), the California FAIR Plan (cfpnet.com), the California Earthquake Authority (earthquakeauthority.com), the DMV and the Department of Industrial Relations, and the statute itself where one applies.
- Re-checked every quarter. Each guide keeps a list of its time-sensitive facts (for example notice periods, minimum limits and moratorium rules). Those are re-checked before publishing and at least once a quarter, and the page’s “Updated” date changes when anything does.
- Dates you can see. Guides show the date they were last reviewed; articles show when they were published and, if revised, when they were updated.
What the content will and won’t do
- It explains how coverage generally works in California. It is general information, not legal advice, and it doesn’t change the terms of any policy: your policy documents and the carrier decide what is covered.
- It doesn’t quote prices, promise savings or publish statistics that can’t be sourced. Coverage, eligibility and pricing depend on the carrier and your situation, which is why every guide ends with a way to ask about yours.
- It doesn’t publish testimonials or reviews unless they come from real clients, with their permission.
- This site carries no advertising and no paid placements.

If you spot something that is wrong or out of date, please tell us: email jennifer.tumbrello@siainc.net or call or text (949) 351-3986. Confirmed errors are corrected promptly and the page’s “Updated” date is changed.
